Hi! I’m Lauren, and two of my favorite things in life are books and my dog, Nola. There’s nothing better than curling up with her and getting lost in a great story. I read a variety of genres, but romance has always been my favorite. I love a good meet-cute—and if a dog plays a main role, I’m completely hooked. The moment a lovable four-legged character appears on the page, I can’t help but smile.

When I decided to start my business, I realized I couldn’t be the only reader who feels that same joy when a dog takes center stage in a story. That’s why I created Reading with Nolapoo—to offer a curated book box designed especially for dog-obsessed readers.

Hi there! I’m Nola

I am the fluffy CEO and official good girl behind Reading with Nolapoo. I was born on December 25, 2001 (yes, I’m a Christmas miracle 🎄). My name is extra special because it stands for New Orleans, Louisiana—my mama’s favorite city ever. Whenever someone asks what Nola means, she proudly shares the story. Being named after her favorite place? Pretty pawsome if you ask me.

Now, let’s talk about my true passions: treats, toys, and tactical sock negotiations. I am highly treat-motivated. Like… will absolutely “borrow” a sock and return it for a piece of chicken jerky motivated. Mama calls me her little extortioner, but I prefer “skilled negotiator.”

My favorite toy is my bouncy ball, and I firmly believe no dog can ever have too many. So if you ever see one in your book box, just know—it passed my very enthusiastic quality control.

As much as I love snacks and sprinting after my toys, nothing beats curling up on Mama’s lap while she reads. I’ve noticed many of her favorite books feature dogs. Shocking? Not at all. We are delightful, after all.
